Tui Cruises Mein Schiff 1 has been on the Baltic Sea cruise again since May 23, 2021 – Kiel cruise season 2021 started at the end of May with a little delay.
Yes, they still exist. This refers to the large cruise ships operated by Tui Cruises, AIDA, MSC, Costa and the numerous other shipping companies. Because, as is well known, Corona has hit the cruise industry hard. And so in Kiel, a popular Baltic Sea port, no cruise started for months or there were no ship calls by the ocean liners. But now it starts again: At the weekend, the AIDAsol and Mein Schiff 1 of Tui Cruises started on multi-day Baltic cruises from Kiel.
For the time being, however, passengers on Mein Schiff 1 are not planning to go ashore in other ports. Passengers spend four nights on board and the journey takes them to Stockholm and Turku.
For the last days in May and the following months of June and July, in addition to ships from Tui and AIDA, other cruise ships have registered in Kiel. Several calls in Kiel are planned again in the summer months.
