Cruise season 2023 started: Balmoral cruise ship arrival in Kiel on April 14, 2023 at the Ostseekai cruise terminal.

On Friday morning, the 218 meter long cruise ship BALMORAL of the shipping company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, coming from Hamburg, passed the Kiel Canal with the destination cruise terminal Ostseekai Kiel. As one of the first cruise ships in 2023, the Balmoral has around 1,000 mainly British cruise guests on board, who will now visit the city on the fjord in mid-April or, of course, go on excursions in the surrounding area.
A passage through the Kiel Canal was also on the agenda for the passengers on their trip from Hamburg to Kiel. A special highlight is of course crossing the locks in Brunsbüttel and Kiel.

The passengers now have several hours to explore the city of Kiel. The Balmoral will leave Kiel again at 8 p.m. Next destination is Warnemünde. This will be followed by another journey through the Kiel Canal, this time from Kiel to Brunsbüttel and further into the North Sea to Bremen.
