Cruise ship AIDAluna in Kiel on April 25th, 2022: The 251 meter long ship of the shipping company AIDA Cruises was a guest in the port of Kiel for a few hours on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first AIDA ship of the 2022 Kiel cruise season headed for the state capital of Kiel on the morning of April 25. At 6 p.m. on Monday evening, it was time for the AIDAluna to cast off again and say goodbye to Kiel. Then the AIDAluna had left her berth at the Ostseekai Kiel and passed the Kiel Fjord in the direction of the Baltic Sea with the next destination Stavanger in Norway on her Baltic Sea cruise.<\/p>\n

Due to the global corona pandemic, there were very few Baltic Sea cruises in 2020 and 2021, and accordingly few cruise ships were guests in Kiel in the two years. But 2022 will now be an almost normal year for the cruise industry, the port of Kiel and the shipping company AIDA Cruises. Several ships from the AIDA fleet will call at the port of Kiel this year. In addition to several calls by AIDAluna in Kiel, the cruise ships AIDAprima, AIDAbella and AIDAnova will also come to Kiel.<\/p>\n

And as things currently stand, the 2022 cruise season will probably be the most successful year to date for the port of Kiel in terms of cruise ship calls. Over 240 cruise ship calls are planned for Kiel this year.<\/p>\n
