Here the frigate Baden-Württemberg (F 222) is underway in the Kiel Fjord on a cloudy Monday morning. The type ship of the Baden-Württemberg class was previously a guest at the Kiel-Wik naval base. The Baden-Württemberg class, also known as the Frigate 125 or F125 for short, is a newly introduced class of frigates in the German Navy. The four surface combat ships replace the eight ships of the Bremen class (F122). All frigates of this class are named after German federal states.
